Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Ember ("we", "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our product and website. We aim to collect only what we need to make Ember useful and to keep your account and outreach safe.

This document is a starting template. Have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction before relying on it for production.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, company, password hash.
• Campaign data: businesses you save, outreach drafts, replies, and sending statistics.
• Connected email accounts: the provider (Gmail or Outlook), the connected address, and access tokens needed to send on your behalf.
• Billing data: plan, billing cycle, and limited payment metadata returned by our payment processor.
• Usage data: device, browser, IP address, and basic interaction events used to improve the product.

How we use information

• To run and improve Ember and provide the features you've requested.
• To send approved campaigns from your connected inbox.
• To enforce do-not-contact, daily sending limits, and other safety rails.
• To bill you and prevent fraud.
• To respond to support requests.

Email content & connected inboxes

When you connect Gmail or Outlook, Ember requests only the permissions required to send campaigns you've approved. We do not browse your personal mail. Replies linked to a campaign are stored so you can view them inside Ember.

Sharing

We share data with vetted infrastructure providers (hosting, payment processing, analytics) under contractual obligations to protect it. We do not sell your data.

Data retention

We keep your account and campaign data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us; we'll remove personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law (including the GDPR and UK GDPR), you have the right to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens for connected inboxes are stored with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.
